Judge Wolff's Policy Priorities

Job Creation and Economic Development

As a former Chairman of both the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, Economic Development has been a cornerstone of my administration. By cultivating relationships with the City and the State, we have been able to grow the number of jobs in Bexar County steadily by attracting some of the largest names in industry while providing an affordable and business friendly environment.

Transportation

Without a strong and efficient transportation system, our economy would simply not grow and flourish, which is why I am so committed to a well-funded and dynamic multi-modal transportation system. Over the last decade, Bexar County has invested over $403 million of road and bridge improvements and has accelerated road projects to include Potranco, Shaenfield, Bulverde, and Walzem Roads

Bexar County Safety & Flood Control

Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of the citizens of Bexar County. Over the past ten years, we have increased the number of Budget Law Enforcement Personnel by 40% and have more than doubled the Law Enforcement Budget.

Additionally, Bexar County has implemented the High Water Alert Lifesaving Technology (HALT) Program by installing 42 new low-water crossing alert systems throughout the county to prevent drowning of motorists during local floods.

Quality of Life

With the opening of our country’s first all-digital public library, the BiblioTech, the Mission Park Pavilions, the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River and almost 13 youth sports complexes including the new Wheatley Heights Sports Complex. I am proud to have led these efforts which improve our community and strengthen our economy, all while holding the property tax at the same rate.

Public Health and Wellness

The University Health System expansion is one of the most exciting projects in Bexar County. With nearly 25 clinics and campuses, UHS is the third largest public health system in Texas. It is San Antonio’s only health system recognized by U.S. News & World Report regarded as one of America’s Best Hospitals.
